The Sites		The Sounds

In 1978, Jeff Wayne put together a musical version of H.G. Wells' The War of the Worlds. Largely based on Wells' work, its value for understanding the aliens is more double hearsay, but the work is very interesting and entertaining on its own.

For those interested in this body of work is this collection of links to related material. There are some sites dedicated to information about it, including one where you can order your own copy (see also The Merchandise pages) for review.

There are also various sounds from this version available, in various formats. Other sounds are available from the individual sites mentioned above. Some include additional information such as liner notes and electronic texts of the original H.G. Wells work (see also The Books).
