According to an Italian site, Arte Cultura: War of the Worlds "On 1 June, 1984 Jeff Wayne's Video Game Version of `The War of the Worlds' was launched incorporating parts of the music, graphics, and storyline" of his musical version of the story. This game was published by CRL in 194. Jeff Wayne, Clem Chambers, and programmer Nigel Taylor developed it. It was a Sinclair Spectrum game, and according to Clem Chambers, "It wasn't well received but it was actually quite cool."
